About Psychologia
‘Psychologia’
Latin for the study of mind and behaviour, derived from Greek psyche ‘soul, mind’, and logia ‘science, study’.
My Story
My diverse experience as a clinical psychologist comes from working in a range of settings like hospitals, disability, rehabilitation, corrections, corporate wellbeing, private practices and universities.
It has been my privilege to assist so many adults presenting with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, and trauma; school, relationship, and identity concerns in youth; workplace concerns and injury; and infertility, perinatal difficulties, grief, and child behavioural concerns.
Working with organisations to improve employee wellbeing through interventions for teams and leaders has been such an enriching experience. The opportunity to apply my expertise to lead teams of psychologists, and supervise and educate psychologists, from early to late career, has been an honour. In my role as Deputy Clinic Director at Bond University, I’ve valued contributing to the education and accreditation of psychologists.
With over 20 years experience as a clinical supervisor, now I provide expert consultation to supervisors and psychologists assisting them to navigate complex clinical scenarios. I appreciate opportunities to share my expertise on topical matters in psychology like editorials in the Gold Coast Bulletin, Gold Coast Magazine, and Ramsay Health Newsroom, through online blogs and teaching post-graduate psychology students.
